College Site:
Mr Bailey informed the meeting that Anne Weston, C Councilllor had informed him that Bellway Homes have temporarily withdrawn their application for planning on the College Site, over problems with Church St and Road width.
Bellway are maintaining sequrity measures at the site and trying to meet in discussion with the D.C.C Highways Dept over cost of widening Church St, D.C.C laying all the expense with Bellway, the latter not in acceptance.

Old School Site:
The old Girls School is in process of internal development-making a Restaurant, Crèche, Gym etc, and a very untidy frontage.

Tesco:
Tesco’s development of building outwards and making a second floor (internally) and car park extention had resulted in them having to give £18,000 to benefit the village, which will be spent updating the North Road Traffic Lights. The complaints about the road surface near Tesco resulted in a reminder that it is an unadopted rd therefore the responsibility of Tesco to undergo repairs.

Lack of Police:
Always a contentious issue there were lots of comments made about the Lack of  Presence of the Police, tonight and when crimes are reported. Mr Metcalfe suffered a breakin was visited 19 days after the event. Other problems in various areas of the village brought about numerous comments on the inefficiency of the Police.
